DR MADDIE DE JONG

Maddie grew up in the heart of Melbourne pursuing dance and competing in sports from a young age. Before completing a Double Bachelor in Health and Applied Sciences (Osteopathy) at RMIT University, Maddie was awarded a Dance Scholarship to Caulfield Grammar and a subsequent Research Scholarship to study Exercise Science at La Trobe University. Maddie is a qualified Osteopath, Sports Trainer, Dance Teacher and is certified in Dry Needling and Myofascial Cupping. 

Maddie has a passion for balance, movement and optimising performance. In each clinical encounter, Maddie strives to integrate the latest evidence-based knowledge into her practice to maximise results and get her patients back in action doing what they love, pain free. 

Maddie provides targeted treatment aimed at relieving pain, treating dysfunction and restoring health. Maddie utilises a range of hands on and off techniques to effectively manage a range of musculoskeletal disorders and chronic pain conditions. These include soft tissue, energy techniques, manipulative therapy, myofascial release, adjunctive treatments, taping, goal setting, problem solving, exercise prescription, strength training and rehabilitation.

Maddie is well versed in treating neck and back pain, TMJ disorders, hypermobility syndromes, chronic pain and sporting injuries. Maddie also has a keen interest in working with athletes as well as in women’s health and in paediatrics. 

Having recently moved to Adelaide, Maddie spends her free time exploring Adelaide's best coffee shops, gyms and yoga or pilates classes. Maddie also loves to surf, paint and take her Aussie Shepherd on long runs through the hills.
